Rome wasn’t built in a day…or even 4 or 5 days. Our story continues…
This week I am wrapping up Domain 1 and trying to start a new study group. I have several people who are interested in forming the study group with me, which is very exciting news, and it is all because of this blog (and all of you)!
So far, here is my team of study champions:

- Jennifer Flohr
- Linda Owens
You may get to know more about them as time goes on because I am going to ask each of them if they’d like to do the occasional guest post on here to let you know a little bit about how our study group is coming along. I’m excited that at least one of them has her own blog, so I have a new blog to add to my blog roll. 
In other news, I’ve pretty much decided to take the Immersion Course, but still haven’t figured out the money problem yet. I will probably just bite the bullet and have to take it from my savings (I know it is worth it to have that kind of help in studying), but I can’t claim that I am thrilled to give up $650.
What I’ve Done for Study:
I’ve made my own Domain 1 flash cards and I am making notes along the way (per some advice Deirdre Reid gave to me). As a refresher for everyone, here is what Domain 1 covers:
- General Management
- Marketing/Branding
- Financial Management

I’m curious as to how you can get a study guide like the one we had from CalSAE. They update it for each exam period. It’s really helpful because it has Key Terms & Definitions (or something like that) and practice quizzes for each domain. Here’s the address on the one I had.

Might be worth giving them a call to see how much they charge.
Also, I wonder about the value of an Immersion course versus a regular study group. I’m not convinced that’s the answer, especially considering the cost. Maybe others can chime in. If you do phone calls, let me know when they are. I’d be glad to help out when I can.

Thanks for your help, Sandra and Deirdre! I’ll look into the study guide…sounds ideal! If I could avoid the Immersion Course cost, I’d like that very much.
Linda, look for my email today to the group. I *think* I have everyone’s correct email, so I’ll try to get something together in an hour or two. Maybe we could use TinyChat as a way to see each other and hear each other from the comfort of our offices or homes.
