CAE 37: From Failure to Fabulous

September 1, 2010

From Failure to…huh?

Filed under: Uncategorized — kikilitalien @ 9:18 am

It has taken me a while to get back to this blog.  Because words can’t do me justice right now, I will instead post two pictures.

CAE Exam Results
I paid to have the test hand scored and the results were the same. While I was waiting to have the test hand-scored,
What I felt like.

I waited to post the results – hoping they would be different once I received the official verdict.

I want to give up, but I won’t.
Instead, I have decided to be the most well-known CAE “loser” ASAE has ever seen and when I finally pass the sucker, I will know all the secrets to what works and doesn’t work for hardworking association execs who haven’t taken tests in years!
I am quietly attempting another exam…I swore I wouldn’t try again if all my work didn’t lead me to pass, but now it is my Challenge.
My Challenge.
My Challenge.
Wish me luck.
This week I am studying Domain 4: Knowledge Management.

  1. You go, girl! It had to be hard to see that score…so close! Congrats for not giving up; it certainly would be easier, however after meeting you in LA I don’t doubt you never shy away from something just because it’s hard. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to lend a hand or a word of support.

  2. I’m so glad to see this post!! I was wondering what happened but didn’t want to ask. That score is like having a winning lottery ticket with every number except one–I’m sure you must be so frustrated. But you are NOT a loser at all–and we are going to have a HUGE party for you when you pass!

BTW, I failed my drivers license test THREE times before I passed. ;)

  3. Wow – thanks for the quick support! I didn’t know if anyone would really see this, since I haven’t posted anything for a while.

I really do hope this time will do the trick. I really thought I’d passed, so perhaps with additional study and reinforcement (plus learning more about test taking methods for multiple choice tests), I will prevail.
    :)

  4. YEAH!!! Thanks for not giving up on the CAE. I know that it’s frustrating to be so close, but you’re almost there. Maggie’s right, we’re having a party when (not if) you pass!

  5. Oh, KiKi – so close! I definitely feel like third time will be the charm for you! You are definitely not a loser, and I know that you can be successful in this challenge. It’s probably test-taking methods that are tripping you up, because I’m confident you know the material!

    Good luck!

  7. KiKi,

At least you have tried and continue to try…I haven’t even attempted the exam yet. You are definitely an inspiration…now I just need to go study.

    Good luck,
    Linda
